What does a sundress, strawberry ice cream, and strange alternative indie songs all have in common? Besides a whole bunch of the letter S, the only obvious answer would be me. These three things are items people would recognize and connect with me. But why is that?

Branding fascinates me. How is it that a color, a word, a song can be associated with a brand?

Is it through repeated exposure?
Is it simply by connotation?
Or maybe it's because a friend told you that's what it's like?

I would argue that it's a healthy combination of all of these. Through my years of work experience and schooling, I am confident in my ability to understand brand personality, to collect insights into consumer perspective, and create advertisements that retain and attract these consumers.

Gaining an understanding of my personal brand has helped me understand why people love the brands they love. I spend a significant amount of time researching brands. (That's probably why for the annual gingerbread making contest, I fashioned my cookies to look like brands instead of men...)

So if you're looking for a strong personal brand to improve a business brand, look no further than a girl in a sundress, eating strawberry ice cream, listening to the Weepies.
